Nowadays, Hollywood has an overwhelming pool of actors and actresses. Although most of them are Americans, there are also foreign talents that have penetrated Hollywood over the years. Some of these foreign actors and actresses are praised for consistently superb performances. For instance, we have the talented Nicole Kidman and Academy award-winning actor Russel Crowe. Don't forget Wolverine himself, Hugh Jackson. These are Australians who have survived Hollywood and who continue to live up to everyone's expectations. However, let's admit it: there are actors and actresses who are plain gorgeous but lacks the depth and sensitivity to be an actor.

Actors and actresses have their own ways to attack a certain role. They have to dig for that talent to come up with a great performance. There are those who go overboard and there are those who are effortless. Among the actors that I have watched, I have never seen anyone as natural and as versatile as Johnny Depp. Imagine, he can go comedy as what he did in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and he can also do action scenes just like in Once Upon a Time in Mexico.

We all know how versatile Johnny Depp is. Today, a new name has been associated with him. It is the name of a pirate that most us are familiar with, and that name is Captain Jack Sparrow. Nowadays, Johnny Depp and Captain Jack Sparrow are identical. When I saw the two "Pirates" films, I cannot imagine another actor who could portray the role any better. The role simply fits him. In fact, the director said in an interview that he allowed Johnny to make his own interpretation of the role. It came out great.

Bob is such a bright, simple name, don't you think? It's easy to remember, easy to write down, and simple enough that even an infant can utter it. I find that Bob is one of those names that are appropriate for young boys. You can imagine Bob running around in the playground with his friends playing Cowboys and Indians. Bob can also be seen striking a home run in the Little League or scoring a goal in a soccer game. Whatever he's doing, Bob always seems cheerful and bright. Most of the time, Bob is used as a nickname for Robert and is of Old English origin. Bob or Bobby was a common name for young boys in the 50's and 60's, but today Robert is often shortened as Robbie or Rob.
There are many famous people who bear this short, but sweet name. The music industry has Bob Dylan, an American singer-songwriter whose work was noted for having political, social, and philosophical theme. There are many comedians named Bob. First is Bob Hope, the famous British-American performer who appeared in various forms of entertainment: vaudeville, the Broadway, on radio, in the movies, and in TV.
Then, there's Bob Newheart whose routine has been described as laid-back and a gentle satire. There's also Bob Saget, an American stand-up comedian who hosted America's Funniest Home Video during the early 90's. See, I told you Bob is a cheerful boy.

Nicholas is a very popular name for boys. According to a survey, Nicholas ranks among the top ten most widely used names over the last decade and held the 13th spot in 2003. Different countries have their own version of how the name is spelled. In Russia, Nicholas is known as Nicholai, Niklos, and Nikolai; Germany has Nickolaus and Nikolaus; the Greeks have Nikolos and so on. I won't include all of them because there are 59 recorded variations for this name.
The man in a red suit riding a sleigh bell being pulled by reindeers during the Christmas season to give good boys and girls their presents is one of the famous bearers of the name Nicholas. Another famous Nicholas in history was the astronomer who theorized that the Sun, and not the Earth, is at the center of the universe.
Many experts give credit to Saint Nicholas, a 4th century Lycian Bishop, for popularizing this name, especially during the Middle Ages. They were particularly popular in Christian boys during those times. This popular name is derived from the Latin word “Nicholaus” which means the victory of the people.

Who here has never ever heard of the name Buzz? I am sure that at some point in your life, you have encountered a guy who likes to be called Buzz. If not, then perhaps you have seen the cartoon movie Toy Story, where a toy character named Buzz was the leading star. Or else, you have been playing too much Nintendo games, such as Earthbound, to notice its character, Buzz.
Ever since the name Buzz has been used in movies and other media, it has become a famous nickname for a man. If the name has never been considered before as a serious one, you ought to know that its real meaning is actually something that sounds not to be taken lightly. Although "buzz" means low droning that bees make when they are busy or a noise that you make when you hit the buttons similar to the ones in game shows, the name Buzz refers to a "village in the woods." See, does that seem close to the robot toy in the movie? Buzz is derived from the Celtics and is given to boys. It is quite a unique real name since it has only been bestowed on not more than 150 boys in the United States in recent years.

Every culture and country has its own history and beliefs. One of the most interesting things that I discover when I travel to distant and foreign places is the origin of names. In every country that I visit, people have unique names that it is quite fascinating to name your own child the same way.
I find the name of a Japanese acquaintance, Kenji, distinct and at the same time, just right for any place. When someone hears or learns of the name Kenji, especially in the Western countries, it stands out as an Oriental name, but it does not stick out like a sore thumb or like something that is too hard or complicated to pronounce and remember.
In the country of Japan, each name has a meaning that is more or less derived from nature. But, contrary to popularity, the name of Kenji is not something rooted in the beauty of nature. Kenji denotes an order in the family, specifically the second newborn. Kenji also incorporates in its meaning the value of a strong and healthy baby. Kenji stands for second son, so it is definitely something exclusively male and playful to call your newborn baby boy. Besides, Kenji is often the name of many Anime characters and I'm sure he would find it cool that his parents named him after their favorite Japanese cartoon.

Do you know someone whose name sounds something similar to the likes of Wednesday Addams of Addams family? You know, a name that literally depicts a day of the week? I do. Aside from the fact that some of my friends carry on the month of the year, I met someone whose name is Wednesday and who is one of the good sports players I know. She is a girl, mind you.
Contrary to popular notion, however, girls are not the only ones who have names that are unchanging through time. Boys do, too. In one instance, as I was searching for a unique name for a baby boy, I came across this group of African baby names that actually depict the days of the week. What is amazing is, I think this is the first time I discovered a list that covers the all the days or the complete week. Of course, since these names are African in origin, it is not so obvious to some people what the name stands for, and I think this is what makes these labels unique and exotic at the same time.
Okay, let us get the ball rolling. For those born on Monday, the name Kudio could very well be fitting for your baby boy. For those born on Tuesday, parents could choose between Kwabena, Kobina, and Jumaane. For Wednesday babies, Kwaku may be apt. Thursday newborns, meanwhile, can be named Khamisi. For Friday, the choices are Kofi and Juma. Saturday babies can be named Kwame. Lastly, for those born on Sunday, Kwasi is a name that a child could bear for the rest of his life.

Andy would always seem like he's singing "youve got a friend in me, you've got a friend in me..." And i must agree to that. I had a friend who's name is Andy, and he's just a good and true friend of mine. Andy fits the perfect description of a reliable person, i am always reminded of Andy from the " Toy Story", such a great story of friendship and togetherness.
The name Andy, although used as both a girl's and a boy's name, is suited for anyone. It's actually from the name Andrew and Anthony, many boys and girls are named Andy in the United States, yes it can be a girl's name, and why not? Andy is such a great name to give your offsprings, although in Greek terms, Andy means "manly." Hey, who cares about that now? Andy can be for anyone, boy or girl! Jack has been one of the, if not the most, widely used name in history. A lot of nursery rhymes and children's stories has Jack as it's character. Jack has fell down the hill, jumped over the candle stick and climed a magical beanstalk. Jack is not just for naming boys.
The tool used by construction workers to break concrete is called the jackhammer tool. The seasonal lantern carved in pumpkins during halloween is called a Jack o' lantern. A famous brand of liquor also has this name. It seems that everywhere you go, jacks can be found all around you.

I just love Jack Skellington. He's the skeleton who stole Christmas from Santa and he's from the Halloween land. Well, anyway, there are many Jack characters that i'm sure we all love, like Jack from the blockbuster movie "Titanic", or the thriller character "Jack the Ripper." But it's kind of ironic how these Jack characters are portrayed, when its Hebrew meaning is "God is gracious," also coming from the name John, seems funny!
But Jack is really an Old English name, pronounced as "Jak," and its French meaning is "he who supplants." There are many famous Hollywood stars who are named Jack, there's Jack Nicholson, Jack Black, and Jackie Chan! Jack is an absolutely famous name all over the world.

Hugh, Huey, Hugo or Hew means "soul, mind, and intellect." In Spain, Hugo means fashionable and why wouldn't it be? Hugo Boss has always been a top designer all over the world. But the name Hugh has always caught my attention, maybe because I love the actor Hugh Grant and Hugh Jackman so much!
The name Hugh is a popular name in the United States. Also, it ranks 254th in the male names database. Ben is a very simple, but masculine name that is why parents use this to name their boy. However, Ben or "son" has evolved into a number of variations including longer versions of the name.
Probably the most popular is Benjamin, which biblically refers to the youngest son of Jacob and means right hand's son. Israelis have also their own modern additions to Ben such as Ben-Ami, which translated into son of my people, and Ben-Zion, which denotes son of Zion.
