Hercules is, I guess, the best cartoon series produced by Walt Disney. The said animation was released both for the movies and the television. My nephews and nieces, who are left in my custody yesterday, love watching the movie on my DVD player again and again. I think it's better for them to stay still and watch than to run around the house. At least there is less possibility for them to accidentally knock off my mom's Buddha
ceramic figurine.
If you don't know Hercules, he is actually among the famous characters in Greek mythology. However, you'd better make a
quick Internet search if you don't know Greek mythology. Anyway Hercules is the only mortal child of Zeus, who happens to be the highest Greek god of the Olympus. On second thought, I'm not really sure if he's the only mortal offspring. Perhaps, I need to make a research as well.
Based on the story Hercules was the hero of the Greeks because he managed to finish all the challenges laid upon him by the gods and goddesses. Another thing, Hercules will become a god if he is successful in the challenges given by the gods. The name Hercules is taken from the goddess' name Hera and the word "kleos' which means glory, so the name actually means Hera's glory.
