I think his mother didn't really like him. No mother would name their kids Joel, not unless they're mental. The name came from the
good book, and it means "Yahweh is God". But if you'll look at his face closely, you'll find no hint that God wanted him alive. I will help him look normal by shutting his head in the oven, and burning it to ashes. There, he'll look more adorable, and his plants will love him more.
