A name is something by which a person or a thing is known or called. It is a designation, reputation, fame, family, and authority. I think I have given you so many names to deal with for the whole year. Yet I forgot to give you a well-detailed information about my very own name.
First off, Aaron, based on the Bible is prophet Moses' brother and the traditional founder of priesthood in ancient Israel. He was the spokesperson for Moses and played a pivotal role in the freedom of Israelites from the pharaoh's evil clutches. The origin of the name is unknown, yet based on my
quick Internet search last night, Hebrews suggest that it means high summit or exalted.
We also have Aaron Ciechanover, an Israeli biochemist, who shared the Nobel Prize with Avram Hershko and Irwin Rose for their discovery of the mechanism by which cells eliminate unwanted proteins. For Americans, we got Aaron Burr who served in the American Revolution in 1779 and became the third vice-president of the US.
