On my previous blog entries I gave you names derived from characters in books, movies, cartoons, and mythology. I know I haven't give you that much, so I'll look for more names and try to seek other resources aside from books and websites. But for now, please bear with me, because I can't seem to find good names that might interest you.
The finest names can be found only by proper researching in books, magazines, leaflets, movies, newspapers, and a
quick Internet search.I actually found five of them and what's interesting is that they are somewhat related with each other as far as origin and meaning are concerned. Ace is commonly used as a nickname that is derived from the English vocabulary meaning "highest rank".
Immanuel on the other hand is a Biblical and Jewish name that means the "highest God is with us". Odin from
Norse mythology means "inspiration or frenzy." Also, the character of Odin is the highest god who resides in Valhalla. Indian name Purushottam means "the best man" derived from the Sanskrit words purusa for "man" and uttama for "highest". Meanwhile, Zeus is the highest among Greek gods. He rules over humankind and earth. Incidentally he resides in Mt.Olympus.
